Austin's Chef Ethan Holmes Named Executive Chef of Cheeky's Inc. in Palm Springs, California Palm Springs, CA (August 15, 2012) - Cheeky's Inc. is proud to announce the newest member to their lifestyle brand, Chef Ethan Holmes who will serve as Executive Chef over the brand’s three successful restaurants: CHEEKY’S, BIRBA and JIAO. Chef Ethan will oversee the day-to-day operations, kitchen staff, and menus for all three restaurants. Additionally, Ethan will serve as the Food and Beverage Director for the brand’s boutique hotel, Alcazar Palm Springs. Cheeky’s Inc., located in Palm Springs, California, is a family of restaurants boasting seasonal market-driven menus in a place traditionally devoid of urban style dining. Owners Tara Lazar and husband Marco Rossetti have, along with a small group of local business owners, become key players in the revitalization and renaissance of Palm Springs by establishing a lifestyle brand of eateries that express a unique vision for food, drink, travel and culture helping to usher in a new future for Palm Springs. Chef Ethan will be working in partnership with Lazar to ensure the same quality and excellence patrons have come to expect while continuing to support new and innovative ways to expand the brand and drive business in the region. Both Lazar and Chef Ethan share a similar ethos of simplicity and respect for local growers and ranchers, thus culminating in what’s sure to be an exciting partnership for future restaurant endeavors. “This will also allow more opportunity for me to focus on my creative vision for the brand’s future as well as nurture my local community efforts such as the Boys and Girls club of Palm Springs, community gardens, and my relationships with local farmers,” says Lazar. Chef Ethan brings over fifteen years of experience to Cheeky’s Inc. having worked at some of the top restaurants in mega culinary capitals such as Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco. Most recently Ethan served as Chef de Cuisine for Congress Austin, under Top 10 Food and Wine Chef, David Bull, where he collaborated with Bull in the design and development of menus for both Second Bar & Kitchen and Austin’s only fine dining establishment, Congress Austin.
